12 flagship activities underway statewide
JAIPUR, SEPTEMBER 2026 : To foster public service, good governance, and active citizen engagement, the month-long 'Viksit Bharat – Jan Seva Abhiyan' is being executed on a war footing across the state from September 17 to October 17. A sine qua non for regional development, this drive encompasses 12 flagship activities, which have already witnessed the active participation of over 1.37 crore citizens. In this regard, the Chief Secretary, Shri V. Srinivas, chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday to evaluate the state-wide progress and operational efficiency. The bona fide outcomes of various departments, field-level advancements, and the direct dispersal of welfare benefits to the grassroots were scrutinized in toto.
Directives and Vigilant Monitoring—
To ensure absolute transparency and bulletproof execution, the Chief Secretary issued stringent directives for daily evaluations, real-time progress reporting, comprehensive audio-visual documentation, and rigorous district-level verification. All departments were instructed to compile a compendium of 'Success Stories' and leverage local media to ensure wide publicity inter alia.
The Chief Secretary exhorted the bureaucracy to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the fruits of welfare schemes reach the last mile and the most vulnerable bona fide beneficiaries in a time-bound manner. He emphasized that pending grievances at rural service camps must be resolved bona fide and with utmost priority. Furthermore, he mandated airtight inter-departmental coordination to maintain a hawk-eye monitoring mechanism.
He stated inter alia that all applications and grievances received during this campaign must be nipped in the bud through swift redressal, ensuring that field-level machinery works de facto to achieve the campaign's core objectives.Senior officials briefed the Chief Secretary regarding the status quo of the campaign's progress and presented the upcoming roadmap.
The high-profile meeting saw the ex-officio participation of Shri Abhay Kumar (State Coordinator & ACS, Water Resources), Shri Kuldeep Ranka (ACS, Higher & Technical Education), Shri Praveen Gupta (ACS, Youth Affairs & Sports), Shri Alok Gupta (ACS, Urban Development), and Shri Rajesh Kumar Yadav (ACS, School Education), alongside Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of related departments. Additionally, all Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors joined the meeting via VC.
