Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the home of renowned Tikamgarh brass artisan Shri Laxminarayan Soni on Friday during the Chief Minister Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. He observed the traditional brass-craft process and appreciated the skill and craftsmanship of local artisans.
Earlier, during the “Udyam Samvad” programme, the Chief Minister interacted directly with entrepreneurs, investors and startup representatives from the district and held detailed discussions on industrial development, investment promotion and encouraging local industries.
At the artisan’s residence in Roraiya Mohalla, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav viewed idols of deities and other artistic products crafted from brass. He said Tikamgarh’s brass craftsmanship is an important symbol of the state’s rich cultural and traditional heritage and assured that every possible effort would be made to give it greater recognition at the national level.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed concerned departmental officials to expedite the development of a proposed new industrial area in Dharampura village, Tikamgarh tehsil, under the Government of India’s Micro and Small Enterprises–Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP). The project has an estimated cost of approximately ₹10.99 crore. He said the project would provide local artisans with modern facilities, better market opportunities and new avenues for employment, thereby supporting the overall development of the brass-craft industry.
