On CM’s Directions, Ragini Immediately Received Two Tricycles to Help Her Attend School

Lucknow, September 2026 : Seven-year-old Ragini, a differently-abled girl from Ballia, met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who assured her family of all possible assistance for her treatment, education and housing.

Ragini was accompanied by her parents and Ballia BJP MLA Ketki Singh during the meeting. The Chief Minister spoke to her warmly and enquired about her health, education and the needs of her family.

Ragini, a resident of Ranipur village in the Digheड़ा gram sabha of Maniyar block, is a Class 1 student at a primary school. She had sought a tricycle to make it easier for her to travel to and from school.

Following the Chief Minister’s directions, the Ballia District Magistrate acted promptly and provided Ragini with two tricycles. During her meeting with CM Yogi, further assurances were given regarding her medical treatment, education and housing facilities for her family.

Family Expresses Gratitude

Ragini’s mother, Babita, thanked the Chief Minister and said her daughter has a problem with her leg, which was the main reason for seeking his intervention. She said CM Yogi assured the family that the government would bear the entire cost of Ragini’s treatment and make arrangements for her operation.

She also thanked the Chief Minister for providing the tricycles and for assuring action to repair the poor road near their village.

Ragini’s father, Devendra, said his daughter had fractured her leg in a road accident several years ago. He said the Chief Minister had now assured the family of support not only for her treatment but also for housing and education.

Devendra also expressed gratitude to MLA Ketki Singh for facilitating the family’s meeting with the Chief Minister.

Immediate Action After Ragini’s Video

MLA Ketki Singh said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally took cognisance of a video concerning Ragini and immediately directed the district administration and concerned officials to make the necessary arrangements.

According to the MLA, the Chief Minister assured the family that the government would bear the complete cost of Ragini’s treatment, arrange for her operation and provide housing assistance to the family. He also directed that the damaged road near their home be repaired.

The Chief Minister further assured the family that every possible support would be extended to ensure that Ragini could continue her education without facing difficulties.

Singh said the episode reflected the Chief Minister’s sensitive and responsive approach towards people in need. She said that when information about a needy person reaches the Chief Minister, he takes prompt cognisance and directs officials to act without delay.

The meeting and the assistance extended to Ragini and her family were described as an example of the government’s focus on ensuring that welfare support reaches those who need it most.

Ragini and her family expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the assistance and assurances regarding her treatment, education, housing and basic infrastructure near their home.
