Raipur, September 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma interacted with villagers in Chhui village of Bodla development block in Kabirdham district, listened to their demands and problems, and took information about the facilities and development works required in the village.

Speaking directly with the villagers, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that the right direction for village development can be determined only by understanding the needs and suggestions of local residents. He urged villagers to make maximum use of the government’s welfare schemes and actively participate in the development of their village.

During the interaction, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma announced the construction of a new Panchayat Bhavan and a Middle School building in Chhui village.

He said the government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of its schemes reach the last person and that development directly improves the lives of rural residents. He said children are the future of the state and the country, and modern facilities are therefore being provided to ensure better education and opportunities for them.

Smart classrooms have already been established in 50 schools in the region, while smart classrooms will be set up in another 35 schools. With two-way communication facilities, students from several schools will be able to attend classes from a single location. Along with classes conducted by subject experts, students will also receive guidance for higher education and career opportunities.

He said efforts are also being made to provide guidance to students preparing for competitive examinations such as NEET and JEE in the future. Special attention is being given to making subjects such as science and mathematics easier and more interesting for students.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that under the ‘Meri Beti, Mera Abhiman’ initiative, all necessary facilities for girls will be ensured in schools. Sanction will be provided for the construction of girls’ toilets in schools where such facilities are currently unavailable.

Similarly, in villages where cremation ground facilities are not available, approval will be given for the construction of cremation ground sheds so that residents can access essential facilities locally. He also directed officials to prepare proposals for the same.

Former Parliamentary Secretary Dr Siyarām Sahu, District Panchayat Vice-President Shri Kailash Chandravanshi, Shri Nitesh Agrawal, District Panchayat Member Shri Ram Kumar Bhatt, Bodla Nagar Panchayat President Shri Vijay Patil, former District Panchayat President Shri Videshiram Dhurve, Shri Santosh Patel, Shri Maniram Sahu, Shri Bhuneshwar Chandrakar, Shri Ramkinkar Verma, Shri Khileshwar Sahu and other public representatives and villagers were present on the occasion.

Deputy Chief Minister Visits PM Awas Yojana Beneficiaries

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma visited the homes of Smt Rambha Hathile and Shri Homit Hathile, beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Chhui village. He interacted with them and enquired about the construction of their houses, the benefits received under the scheme and other housing-related matters.

He said the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is providing poor and needy families with permanent and dignified housing.

Light ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at Every Home on September 17

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma appealed to villagers to participate in ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at 7 p.m. on September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

He urged people to light a lamp outside every home and convey their greetings and blessings to the Prime Minister. He said the occasion is also an opportunity to strengthen the resolve towards the development and service of the nation.

He appealed to villagers to participate enthusiastically in the campaign.
