Patwari-Surveyor Team Members Stranded in Maad Area; All Found Healthy After Medical Examination
Raipur, September 2026: Six employees, including patwaris and surveyors, who were stranded in the Maad area across the Indravati River amid continuous rain and flooding, were safely airlifted to Bijapur following prompt action by the district administration.
After reaching the district headquarters, all six employees underwent medical examinations at the district hospital. Their health condition was found to be normal.
The six-member team of patwaris and surveyors had travelled to the Badepalli and Guttamangi areas for Girdawari survey work. During their visit, continuous rainfall caused water levels in rivers and streams to rise sharply, resulting in flooding in the area and leaving the employees stranded.
As soon as the district administration was informed that the employees were trapped, Collector Vishwadeep directed officials to initiate an immediate rescue operation. Without losing time, the administration arranged an airlift and safely brought all six employees back to the district headquarters.
The employees underwent medical examinations at the district hospital in the presence of Collector Vishwadeep. The Collector also met them, enquired about their well-being and took information about their health.
The employees who returned safely appeared relieved and happy to reunite with their families and colleagues. The Collector appreciated their efforts in continuing to discharge their duties under difficult circumstances.
On the occasion, Collector Vishwadeep said the district administration was working with complete alertness and promptness in the face of floods and other disaster situations.
He said the safety of every individual remained the administration’s highest priority. Relief and rescue teams were continuously monitoring the situation to prevent any loss of life and ensure that timely assistance reached those in need.
The safe return of the six employees following the district administration’s swift intervention amid challenging flood conditions has reinforced the confidence that the administration stands with its people at every step during times of disaster.
Nodal Disaster Management Officer Mukesh Dewangan, Tehsildar Panchram Salame, District Commandant P.B. Sidar and other officers and employees were present on the occasion.
