Artists highlight public welfare and social responsibility under ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’
Raigarh, September 2026: A street play was organised at Ambedkar Chowk in Raigarh to convey the message of service, public welfare and social responsibility to people in a simple and effective manner.
Organised under the ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’ initiative, the performance presented issues connected with the everyday lives of ordinary people in an engaging format while highlighting the importance of service to society.
A large number of people gathered at Ambedkar Chowk to watch the street play, with the audience showing keen interest in the artists’ performance.
Through their acting and dialogues, the artists conveyed that fulfilling one's responsibility towards society is not the duty of any one individual or institution. Rather, collective participation can strengthen the process of bringing about social change.
Using everyday language and an impactful presentation, the artists communicated messages related to service and public welfare directly to the people.
The programme aimed to take ideas related to public service and welfare to the general public through an accessible medium while creating greater awareness about social participation and responsibility.
The organisers used the street-play format as a means of directly connecting with people and encouraging community participation.
Deputy Collector Shilpa Bhagat, along with other concerned officials, was present on the occasion. Through their performance, the artists reiterated the message of taking the spirit of service to people across society.
