Technical Committee Constituted to Investigate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue Incident in Rajkot (Sindhudurg)
Mumbai : A technical committee has been established to investigate the incident involving the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, erected by the Indian Navy at Fort Rajkot in Sindhudurg district. The Public Works Department has announced that the committee will be chaired by Commodore Pawan Dhingra, an expert from the Indian Navy.
The committee includes the following members:
- Sanjay Dashpute, Secretary (Construction), Public Works Department, Ministry of Development
- Ramgude, Joint Managing Director, MSIDC, Mumbai
- Prof. Jangid, IIT Mumbai
- Prof. Parida, IIT Mumbai
The committee will examine the incident at Fort Rajkot and provide recommendations to determine the exact cause and identify those responsible for the statue’s damage.
