Deadline for ‘Smart Card’ Conversion of Driving License Set for September 15

Mumbai : The Taddev Regional Transport Office has launched a campaign to convert manually issued driving licenses into smart cards. Regional Transport Officer Bharat Kalaskar has urged all drivers with manually issued licenses to complete the conversion process by September 15, 2024.

License holders should note that after September 15, manually issued records will no longer be eligible for conversion into smart cards. Additionally, the office building, I&C Center, and Driver Training Center will be constructed at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Taddeo, Mumbai (Central). All licenses issued by this office prior to November 2006 were manually processed. License holders should visit the office by September 15, 2024, to have their licenses entered into the computer system and complete the smart card conversion process.
