Delegation of Sanyukt Kisan Manch Calls on Chief Minister

A delegation of the Sanyukt Kisan Manch, Himachal Pradesh called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today and submitted a memorandum regarding various demands of the farming community.

The delegation also urged the Chief Minister to take up the issue of increasing import duty on apples with the Union Government to protect the interests of local apple growers.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the State Government would consider their demands sympathetically.

MLA Sanjay Awasthi and Principal Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan were also present on the occasion.
