Siaha, Aug 2025 – As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign launched by the Ministry of Culture in celebration of the 79th Independence Day, Phase 3 of the programme was also held in Siaha District. Marking the second event under this phase, a “Freedom Yatra” was organised today from Siaha Vaihpi Playground to Bazar Traffic Point, with school students and members of the public participating in the march.

At the closing programme held at Bazar Traffic Point, District Commissioner Pu V.L. Hruaizela Khiangte addressed the crowd, urging everyone to understand and value India’s freedom and to celebrate Independence Day with joy and pride.
The first Har Ghar Tiranga event in Siaha this year took place on 8 August, which included a “Tiranga-Inspired Wall Painting” competition among schools.
