Major Action Taken Against Illegal Sand Mining in Raipur
Raipur, Oct 2025: Under the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, swift and strict action is being taken against illegal sand mining in Raipur district.
Guided by Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, a joint team from the Revenue and Mineral Departments conducted a major operation in Gudguda village of Arang Development Block. During the action, the team seized 2 boats and 2 chain-mounted machines used for illegal sand extraction.
The operation was led by Arang SDM Mrs. Abhilasha Pakra and included Naib Tehsildar Shri G.N. Sidar, revenue officials, and Mining Officer Shri Hemant Kherpa along with their team. Illegal mining activities at the site were stopped, and the seized equipment has been securely impounded.
