Trump Signs Trade and Minerals Deals at ASEAN Summit

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 2025 : US President Donald Trump on Sunday signed a reciprocal trade agreement with Cambodia and a critical minerals pact with Thailand during the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur. A White House official said Trump is also expected to finalize a minerals agreement with Malaysia during the summit. The deals were concluded following a ceremony where Trump joined regional leaders to endorse an expanded ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, aimed at stabilizing their conflict-hit border and promoting economic cooperation across Southeast Asia.
