CM Vishnu Deo Sai Distributes First Aid Kits to Haj Pilgrims, Extends Wishes for Safe Journey

Raipur, April 2026: Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, distributed first aid kits to Haj pilgrims and extended his best wishes for a safe and successful journey during a programme held in Raipur.

The event was organised by the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium located in the Medical College premises in the state capital. On the occasion, the Chief Minister personally handed over medical kits to the pilgrims and prayed for their well-being and smooth यात्रा.

Addressing the gathering, Sai said it was a matter of great fortune for him to have had the opportunity to welcome Haj pilgrims continuously since his tenure as a Member of Parliament from Raigarh. He informed that a total of 815 pilgrims from the state will undertake the Haj pilgrimage this year.

Highlighting a new initiative, the Chief Minister noted that, for the first time, the state’s Health Department has provided special training to the pilgrims along with distributing medical kits to ensure their safety and preparedness during the यात्रा. He also urged the pilgrims to pray for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the country and the state during their pilgrimage.

Member of Parliament Brijmohan Agrawal also addressed the gathering and expressed happiness that pilgrims from Chhattisgarh are getting the opportunity to undertake this sacred journey. He appealed to them to complete their pilgrimage successfully and offer prayers for the happiness and progress of the nation.

Agrawal further mentioned that the waiting period for Haj pilgrimage has reduced significantly in recent years, enabling more people to participate. He credited this improvement to the efforts of Narendra Modi.

The programme was also addressed by Mirza Ejaz Beg, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee, who shared important information related to the pilgrimage.

Among those present at the event were Minority Commission Chairman Amarjeet Chhabra, Divyang Finance and Development Corporation Chairman Lokesh Kawadia, Waqf Board Chairman Dr. Saleem Raj, and Haj Committee CEO Dr. Khushboo Usman, along with distinguished members of society and Haj pilgrims from across the state.
