Government Committed to Justice for Victim, Says Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar; CM Orders Strict Action in Nasrapur Case

Mumbai, May 2026 : Maharashtra Minister of State for Women and Child Development Meghna Sakore-Bordikar has said that the government is firmly committed to ensuring justice for a minor girl involved in a deeply distressing incident reported from Nasrapur.

Describing the incident as extremely unfortunate and shocking, the minister stated that the state government has taken serious cognisance of the matter. She assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that the victim receives justice at the earliest and that the accused is punished strictly within the framework of the law.

She further informed that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued clear instructions to expedite the legal process in the case. As part of these directions, the government will appoint a special public prosecutor and take steps to ensure that the trial is conducted in a fast-track court to avoid delays.

The minister also emphasized that the government will extend full support and assistance to the victim’s family during this difficult time. She reiterated that safeguarding the rights and dignity of women and children remains a top priority for the state administration.

Authorities are expected to closely monitor the progress of the case to ensure swift justice and accountability.
