CM Dr. Yadav’s Initiative Brings Indo-French Investment Conclave to Bhopal

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has made rapid strides in industry, infrastructure, policy reforms, logistics, skill development and investment facilitation, attracting the attention of leading global companies. The presence of renowned French companies and a high-level French delegation in Bhopal is being seen as a sign of growing global confidence in the state.

The Indo-French Investment Conclave, scheduled to be held in Bhopal on May 12, comes at a time when Madhya Pradesh is steadily strengthening its presence on the global investment map. To be organised at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, the event is not merely an investment meeting, but an extension of a changing industrial outlook and global engagement. Madhya Pradesh is now moving beyond the role of a state seeking investment and emerging as an active hub for international industrial partnerships.

Organised jointly by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the conclave will be attended by the Ambassador of France, representatives of the French industry, senior officials of global companies, senior administrative officers of the Madhya Pradesh Government, and industrial representatives from the state.

The conclave is expected to pave the way for long-term industrial, technological, and institutional partnerships between Madhya Pradesh and France. Through this platform, the state government will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem, investment opportunities, policy support, and rapidly developing industrial infrastructure to French companies.

Special focus during the event will be on sectors such as agro and food processing, automobile and electric vehicles, consumer goods and retail, defence and aviation, global capability centres, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, renewable energy, textiles, tourism, and hospitality. Madhya Pradesh will be presented as an emerging industrial hub across these sectors.

The state government’s objective is not limited to attracting investments alone, but also to establish Madhya Pradesh as a model of partnerships driven by technology, innovation, research, skill development, and sustainable industrial growth. Along with conventional investment discussions, the conclave will also focus on technology transfer, local manufacturing, skilling, research collaboration and institutional partnerships.

Several prestigious French companies are already exploring opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Sanofi is in discussions to develop a Centre of Excellence in collaboration with AIIMS Bhopal. Dassault Systèmes is exploring possibilities for cooperation in urban development, technical education, science and technology, skill development, and public infrastructure through virtual twin technology.

Decathlon has shown interest in developing sourcing, retail expansion, supply chain systems, and sports-based skilling models in the state. Systra is exploring cooperation in roads, metro rail, railways, water management, urban planning, data centres, and cable car systems. Soufflet Malt has shared proposals related to contract farming based on malting barley, farmer capacity building, and supply chain infrastructure. Discussions are also underway on an investment proposal by DunaSys focused on manufacturing localisation in India.

The conclave is expected to witness participation from leading French companies, including Sanofi, Dassault Systèmes, Soufflet Malt, Systra, EDF, ENGIE, Monin, Royal Canin, Lactalis, Verto Mobility, Technique Solaire, Geodis India, and others.

Another important objective of the conclave is to strengthen a long-term strategic partnership with France for the Global Investors Summit-2027. Through the Indo-French Conclave, efforts are being made to ensure France’s effective participation in GIS-2027 and create a favourable environment for French investments in Madhya Pradesh.

The conclave is expected to benefit Madhya Pradesh at multiple levels. It will create new opportunities for investment proposals, accelerate partnerships between French companies and Madhya Pradesh-based industries, open avenues for technological cooperation and skill development, and establish a strong foundation for future sector-based industrial collaboration in the state.

Around 60 to 80 industrial representatives from Madhya Pradesh are also expected to participate in the programme. B2B and B2G meetings between these representatives and French companies will be organised to discuss potential investments, joint ventures, technical cooperation, and industrial expansion in detail.

The engagement began on May 11 with a visit by the French delegation to the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, where the delegates were introduced to the state’s tribal art, culture, and heritage. On May 12, the delegation will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, providing an opportunity to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s cultural and historical identity before international representatives.

During the main session to be held on May 12 at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, detailed presentations will be made on Madhya Pradesh’s industrial policies, investment promotion initiatives, ease of doing business, and investment facilitation systems. A special panel discussion on the theme “Unlocking Madhya Pradesh: Policy, Partnerships and Pathways for Sustainable Investment” will also be organised, featuring representatives from leading French companies.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will address the main session of the programme. He will present Madhya Pradesh’s industrial vision, investment potential, infrastructure development, and future growth strategy before the French delegation. In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, several French companies are expected to submit Expressions of Interest, and important MoUs will also be exchanged.

Special one-to-one meetings between Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and senior representatives of French companies are also proposed during the conclave. These discussions will focus on potential investments, technological collaboration, and long-term industrial partnerships.

The conclave reflects that Madhya Pradesh is no longer merely a state inviting investments, but is emerging as a hub for global industrial cooperation, technological partnerships and future-oriented development models. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is continuously forging new international partnerships, further strengthening its identity as one of India’s most dynamic and reliable investment destinations.
