Chief Minister Visits Village Lanes Early Morning, Holds Tea-Chaupal with Villagers; Immediate Action on Public Grievances
Jaipur, May 2026: After holding a night chaupal in Churda village located in the remote tribal region of Banswara district, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma once again reached out to villagers early Thursday morning. He walked through village lanes, interacted with locals, and listened to their concerns directly.
During the visit, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working to realise the vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s “Antyodaya,” where the upliftment of the last person in the queue is the top priority. He said that the village development chaupal represents the true spirit of this philosophy, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes and development reach every individual.
Chaupal under a peepal tree, grievances heard on the spot
During his morning walk, the Chief Minister held a chaupal under a peepal tree and listened to public grievances. He took note of water-related issues and directed the District Collector to construct an anicut on the Hiran river for irrigation purposes and to strengthen drinking water sources.
He also visited a Maa Baadi centre where he interacted with children, affectionately spending time with them. The Chief Minister distributed chocolates to children at various stops during his visit, encouraging them to study hard and build a bright future. The children were visibly delighted to receive chocolates from the Chief Minister.
He also appealed to villagers to ensure quality education for their children and urged the youth to stay away from drug addiction.
Strict action against negligence in administration
During the interaction, villagers raised complaints of financial irregularities against the Block Chief Medical Officer of Kushalgarh, Dr Girish Bhabor. Taking immediate cognisance, the Chief Minister directed officials to initiate action without delay. Following his instructions, the health department placed Dr Bhabor under APO (Awaiting Posting Order).
Water conservation is the biggest priority
The Chief Minister said that water has no substitute and every drop must be conserved and used wisely. He emphasised that fruit-bearing trees can serve both environmental protection and additional income for farmers.
He urged farmers to adopt micro-irrigation, rainwater harvesting, modern multi-dimensional farming techniques, and farm pond construction.
He further said that farmers should integrate animal husbandry with agriculture to improve their income. He stressed that innovation and hard work can make farming more profitable.
The Chief Minister also said that employment opportunities should be created within villages to prevent rural youth from migrating for labour work. He highlighted successful community-led water conservation efforts in the Dungarpur region and said that collective action at the village level can significantly benefit entire regions.
He appealed to villagers to turn water conservation into a mass movement.
Immediate approvals and resolution of demands
During a tea interaction with villagers, the Chief Minister resolved several local demands on the spot. Following his directions, ₹16.20 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of a Maa Baadi centre in village Thummath, ₹20 lakh for a single-phase tubewell at Thummath Chauraha, and ₹7 lakh for interlocking and beautification at the Mama Baleshwar Dayal temple complex in Churda village.
He also directed officials to construct two classrooms in the government school and establish a milk collection centre near the village.
Earlier, during the visit, Roopshi Kalal requested the transfer of her husband Hemendra Kumar Kalal, an Assistant Engineer, keeping in mind their child suffering from cerebral palsy. The Chief Minister showed sensitivity and ordered his posting to the Public Health Engineering Department office in Banswara. The orders were issued promptly.
The Chief Minister also paid floral tribute to the statue of Saint Mama Baleshwar Dayal. The visit was attended by several ministers, including Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, Cooperative Minister Gautam Kumar Dak, along with other public representatives and a large number of villagers.
