Public Welfare is Government’s Highest Priority: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal, May 2026 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is setting new milestones of development. Congratulating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the completion of his 12-year golden tenure, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh continues to make steady progress on the path of development under his leadership and guidance. He noted that after the formation of Madhya Pradesh, the state had only five medical colleges. However, keeping public welfare as the highest priority, the government has facilitated the establishment of seven new medical colleges in the last two years alone. The Chief Minister added that Shajapur district has its own distinct identity, and Sundarsi in Shujalpur has historical links with Samrat Vikramaditya. Shujalpur is among the most capable and prosperous tehsils of Shajapur district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed an event organised in Shujalpur to launch the ‘College Chalo Abhiyan’ and commence the admission process in colleges across the state. Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
CM Dr. Yadav Performs Bhoomi Poojan for Ayurvedic College, Hospital and AYUSH Hospital
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 43 development works worth ₹388 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for an Ayurvedic College and Hospital to be built at a cost of ₹70 crore and a 50-bed AYUSH Hospital costing ₹14.37 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Inaugurates Four Sandipani Schools
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated four Sandipani Schools, Maa Sharda Sandipani Vidyalaya, Maharana Pratap Sandipani Vidyalaya, Mihir Bhoj Sandipani Vidyalaya and Raja Bhoj Sandipani Vidyalaya, constructed at a cost of ₹122 crore. Four new Primary Health Centres built at a cost of ₹14.58 crore were also inaugurated during the programme.
New Record Set in Wheat Procurement in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has always been a land of immense potential. However, until 2002-03, only about 7.5 lakh hectares of land in the state were irrigated. Farmers in villages had limited access to electricity, and essential infrastructure such as water, electricity and roads was inadequate. He said that the government has significantly expanded irrigation coverage and ensured better prices for farmers’ produce. This year, wheat was procured from farmers at ₹2,625 per quintal, setting a new record for wheat procurement in the state. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling all announcements made in Krishak Kalyan Varsh.
More Than 250 Million People Lifted Out of Poverty Across the Country
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is paving the way for Madhya Pradesh’s progress through good governance. Welfare schemes are benefiting every section of society, including the poor, farmers, youth, women and other needy citizens. He said that more than 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty across the country, which is a matter of great pride. The Chief Minister added that chants of devotion are resonating from Ujjain to Ayodhya and at the Bhojshala in Dhar. The government remains committed to implementing court decisions in letter and spirit.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state is experiencing a continuous wave of development. New medical colleges and Ayurvedic colleges are being established, and no shortage of development works will be allowed over the next two-and-a-half years.
Historic Day for Ayurvedic Education and Healthcare
Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that Shujalpur has long been a centre of education and that the district has received major gifts in the fields of school education and AYUSH healthcare. He highlighted the inauguration of four new Sandipani Schools named after great historical personalities.
Minister Shri Parmar calling it a historic day for Ayurveda education, said that the state is moving ahead with plans to establish nine new Ayurvedic colleges. He said that we have a target of establishing eleven new Ayurvedic colleges across the state.
Government Homoeopathic College to Be established in Ujjain
Minister Shri Parmar, announced that a Government Homoeopathic College would be established in Ujjain. He said that providing quality education and healthcare remains a priority of the government. Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in implementing the National Education Policy, and PM Shri Excellence Colleges have been opened in every district. Students are receiving opportunities for agricultural education, while school children are benefiting from quality education, as reflected in this year’s board examination results. He also highlighted the need for road widening in Shujalpur and brought other local requirements to the attention of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
New Mandsaur-Bhopal Four-Lane Highway to Benefit Several Districts
Member of Parliament Shri Mahendra Singh Solanki said that Madhya Pradesh is witnessing remarkable infrastructure development under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.The newly approved Mandsaur–Bhopal four-lane highway will benefit Guna, Rajgarh and Shajapur, as well as the surrounding areas of Shujalpur.
Shajapur District Ministe In-charge r Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, MLAs Shri Ghanshyam Chandravanshi and Shri Arun Bhimawad, District Panchayat President Shri Hemraj Sisodiya, and other public representatives were also present at the programme.
Chief Minister Announces Key Development Projects for Shujalpur
- Construction of a two-lane road from Shujalpur Police Outpost via Bhilkhedi, Meherkhedi and Kalapipal.
- Development of the Shajapur Bypass–Ashta Road to Pachore Road–Shujalpur Bypass corridor.
- Establishment of a college in Akodia.
- Construction of a bypass road in Gaulana.
- Upgradation of Gaulana into a Nagar Panchayat.
- Construction of police housing for security personnel in Shujalpur.
- Addition of 50 personnel of various ranks to strengthen the force at Shujalpur Mandi Police Station.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav undertook a 1.5-kilometre roadshow while proceeding from the Government Postgraduate College in Shujalpur to interact with the public. He received a grand welcome with flower showers from more than 50 platforms set up by various social organisations. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also reciprocated by showering flowers on the gathered public and expressed his gratitude for their warm reception.
