Mukesh Ambani Offers Prayers at Badrinath, Donates Rs 10 Crore for Pilgrim Welfare
Chamoli, June 2026 : Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani visited the sacred Badrinath Temple on Monday, offering prayers for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the nation. During his visit, he donated Rs 10 crore to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) to support pilgrim welfare and infrastructure development at the revered Himalayan shrines.
Ambani, known for his deep spiritual association with the Char Dham shrines, was accorded a traditional welcome by officials of the BKTC upon his arrival at Badrinath Dham. A regular visitor to the Himalayan temples, he has consistently extended financial and developmental support to the temple committee over the years.

According to BKTC Chief Executive Officer Sohan Singh Rana, Ambani arrived at Badrinath Dham around 9:15 a.m. accompanied by family members and close associates. He participated in special prayers and rituals at the temple, seeking blessings for the country’s peace and progress.
Following his visit to Badrinath, Ambani proceeded to Kedarnath Dham, where he also offered prayers and sought divine blessings for the welfare of the people of India.
Temple committee officials said that the donation would be utilised to strengthen facilities for pilgrims and support various developmental and administrative activities undertaken by the committee. The contribution is expected to aid efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing the pilgrimage experience for devotees visiting the shrines.
Ambani’s annual pilgrimage to Badrinath and Kedarnath is regarded as an important spiritual tradition and continues to draw attention from devotees and local communities alike. His visits often coincide with charitable initiatives that contribute to the development of the region’s religious infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the ongoing Char Dham Yatra continues to witness an overwhelming response from pilgrims across the country. According to official figures available till June 13, more than 12.23 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham during the current pilgrimage season.
Badrinath Dham has welcomed over 10.92 lakh pilgrims so far, while the number of visitors to Gangotri Temple has crossed 5.95 lakh. Yamunotri Temple has also recorded more than 5.56 lakh devotees.
The steady rise in pilgrim footfall underscores the enduring spiritual significance of the Char Dham circuit, which remains one of India’s most revered pilgrimage routes.
