BJP Workers Are Full-Time Politicians, Rahul Gandhi Is Part-Time: Nitin Nabin in Telangana

Hyderabad, June 2026 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Monday launched a sharp attack on Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, describing him as a “part-time politician” while asserting that every BJP worker is a “full-time politician” dedicated to serving the nation and the people round the clock.

Addressing a meeting of BJP booth presidents and party office-bearers from the united Warangal district in Telangana, Nabin praised the commitment of party workers and credited them for transforming the BJP into the world’s largest political party.

He said BJP karyakartas remain committed to public service every hour of every day, unlike leaders who, according to him, engage in politics only intermittently.

“If anyone works tirelessly, 24 hours a day and seven days a week, it is the BJP karyakarta. Every BJP worker is a full-time politician devoted to the nation and society. It is because of the relentless dedication and sacrifice of our workers that the BJP has emerged as the world’s largest political party,” he said.

Launching a broader attack on the Congress, Nabin said the BJP stood for nationalism, development and inclusive governance, while accusing its rivals of practising dynastic and vote-bank politics.

“The BJP’s identity is not rooted in dynastic politics. We believe in nationalism. We do not believe in appeasement. We are guided by the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. We do not believe in vote-bank politics but in the politics of development and public welfare,” he said.

The BJP president also targeted the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that it had failed to fulfil the promises made to the people after coming to power.

He claimed that the state government had promised to provide two lakh jobs to unemployed youth but had failed to deliver on that commitment.

“The present government in Telangana is concerned only about its own family. It promised to provide two lakh government jobs, but those promises remain unfulfilled. Instead of working for the people, the state has become an ATM for the Congress leadership in Delhi,” he alleged.

Nabin further claimed that the aspirations of the people of Telangana had been repeatedly undermined by family-centric political parties.

“The dreams with which Telangana was formed have been trapped in the politics of dynastic parties. The BJP is committed to fulfilling those dreams. For us, power is not an end in itself but a means to serve society. Through service, we seek the people’s trust and support,” he said.

Calling upon party workers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots, he urged every booth-level worker to ensure that the BJP expanded its reach across Telangana.

“We must make the lotus bloom in every booth. Every BJP worker should take responsibility for strengthening the party at the grassroots and place Telangana firmly on the path of development,” he said.

Nabin asserted that the vision the people of Telangana had cherished during the state’s formation could be realised only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He appealed to BJP workers in Warangal to dedicate themselves to building a “Viksit Warangal” as part of the larger goal of creating a developed Telangana and a developed India.

Addressing the youth, farmers and women of the state, the BJP chief said the Modi government had consistently worked for their welfare and would continue to stand with them.

“I have come here to assure the youth, farmers and women of Telangana that the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to your welfare. Standing with your struggles and aspirations, the BJP will form a double-engine government in Telangana and fulfil every dream of the people,” he said.

Nabin also accused the Congress of neglecting the legacy of former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, asserting that the late leader did not receive the recognition he deserved during Congress rule.

He said it was Prime Minister Modi who honoured Narasimha Rao by conferring upon him the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.

Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government over the last 12 years, Nabin claimed that India had earned greater global respect and had made rapid progress across various sectors.

He also referred to India’s security policies, saying the country had adopted a stronger response against external threats.

“Today no one dares to cast an evil eye on India. The country has demonstrated its resolve through surgical strikes and air strikes whenever required. Through Operation Sindoor, India responded firmly to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism to safeguard the dignity and lives of its citizens. Internal security has been strengthened considerably, and the government has taken decisive steps to eliminate the menace of Naxalism,” he said.

Earlier in the day, while interacting with tribal leaders in Hanamkonda, Nabin said the Modi government had accorded special priority to the welfare, dignity and empowerment of tribal communities across the country.

He said the Union government had significantly increased budgetary allocations for tribal development and launched several initiatives, including the PM Janman scheme, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, tribal museums and expanded infrastructure in tribal regions.

Reiterating the BJP’s commitment to preserving tribal culture and accelerating development in tribal areas, including those in Telangana, he said the party remained dedicated to achieving the twin goals of “Viksit Bharat” and “Viksit Telangana.”

Nabin also highlighted the election of President Droupadi Murmu as a historic milestone for the country, describing it as a symbol of the nation’s respect for tribal communities.

He said Murmu’s elevation to the country’s highest constitutional office reflected India’s recognition of the struggles, contributions and aspirations of tribal society and sent a powerful message that tribal communities occupy a place of honour in the nation’s democratic journey.
