Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Visits Beawar, Offers Prayers at Devnarayan Temple and Reviews Development Works in Devmali Village

Jaipur, July 2026: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited Devmali village in Beawar district on Thursday, where he offered prayers at the Lord Devnarayan Temple and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

During the visit, the Chief Minister also visited the home of farmer Ramlal Gurjar, where he interacted warmly with the family and shared tea with them. He also held discussions with members of the Devmali Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee on local development issues.

Interacting with schoolchildren and their parents, Sharma enquired about the quality of education in the village and directed the District Collector to ensure the availability of quality educational facilities. Emphasising the importance of girls’ education, he instructed officials to prevent school dropouts and encourage higher enrolment.

The Chief Minister directed the district administration to immediately resolve the mobile network connectivity issues in the village. He also instructed officials to explore the feasibility of constructing a ropeway to the Devnarayan Temple to improve accessibility for devotees.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” (Development along with Heritage), Sharma said that all development works in Devmali should be undertaken while preserving the village’s unique cultural, religious and natural heritage.

He stressed that the original character of the village, its traditions, and its scenic beauty should be protected even as development projects are accelerated.

“The preservation of Devmali’s distinct identity and traditions is our priority,” the Chief Minister said.

Sharma distributed chocolates to schoolchildren, encouraging them in their studies, and held an informal interaction with villagers to understand their concerns.

He directed local public representatives and district officials to regularly assess the needs of the residents and ensure prompt and effective delivery of essential public services so that every household benefits from basic amenities.

At Namo Upvan in Devmali, the Chief Minister inaugurated a plantation drive under the VBG Ram Ji Yojana by inviting an elderly village resident, Prem Devi, to perform the ceremonial inauguration.

He planted a Peepal sapling, conveying a strong message on environmental conservation and the importance of increasing green cover.

On the occasion, Sharma also presented certificates under the Chief Minister Tree Plantation Campaign to schoolchildren in recognition of their participation in plantation activities.

The event was attended by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, MLA Virendra Singh Kanawat, other public representatives, district administration officials, and a large number of local residents.
