Lala Lajpat Rai Remembered on His Birth Anniversary
Lucknow, Jan 2026 : On Wednesday, the International Vaish Federation, Uttar Pradesh, commemorated the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter, Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai, with deep reverence. The event was held at the Federation’s office in Priyadarshini Colony, where officials paid tribute by offering floral garlands to a portrait of Lala Lajpat Rai.
Dr. Neeraj Bora, the Federation’s state president and a Member of the Legislative Assembly, along with other office bearers, participated in the tribute. Dr. Bora said that Lala Lajpat Rai was not only an immortal warrior of India’s freedom struggle but also a visionary thinker and a strong advocate of the country’s economic self-reliance.
He highlighted Lajpat Rai’s role in India’s economic empowerment, noting that he contributed significantly by founding institutions such as Punjab National Bank and Lakshmi Insurance Company, which continue to play a crucial role in nation-building. Dr. Bora added that Lala Lajpat Rai’s life exemplifies patriotism, courage, and social consciousness, serving as an enduring source of inspiration for future generations.
The ceremony was also attended by several other dignitaries, including Dr. Ajay Gupta, state general secretary; Hemant Dayal, state minister; Vishal Gupta, metropolitan general secretary; Ravi Gupta; Sanjeev Agrahari; and numerous other office bearers and members of the Federation.
