CM Reviews Gram Utthan Camp in Niwai, Inaugurates ₹370 Crore Development Works

Jaipur, January 2026: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government has made Rajasthan a region where farmers’ lives are becoming prosperous, the poor are being uplifted, and youth are getting ample employment opportunities. He said Gram Utthan Camps are creating awareness about government schemes and providing swift solutions to eligible beneficiaries’ problems. These camps are being organised at every girdawar circle to ensure services are available close to farmers and rural residents.

Addressing a public gathering at the Gram Utthan Camp in Niwai, Tonk, on Saturday, the Chief Minister said significant work is being done through these camps for the welfare of farmers and livestock rearers. So far, 941 Gram Utthan Camps have been organised across the state, benefiting lakhs of rural residents. More than 50,000 Soil Health Cards and 33,000 Swamitva Cards have been distributed, primary medical treatment has been provided to 2.6 lakh animals, 20,000 animals vaccinated, and 20,000 registrations completed under the PM Surya Ghar Scheme.

VBG Ram Ji law to transform rural India:
The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes the nation progresses only when villages progress. Under the newly introduced VBG Ram Ji law, rural areas will receive a guarantee of 125 days of employment, leading to sustainable development works focused on water security, infrastructure, and livelihood enhancement. Technology will ensure transparency and timely payments to workers, transforming rural India and strengthening the vision of a developed India.

Unprecedented changes since 2014:
CM Sharma said that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has witnessed historic changes since 2014, with continuous efforts for the welfare of farmers, youth, women, and workers. He highlighted initiatives such as LPG cylinders at ₹450 for women and PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi support for farmers.

He added that the state government is working with a clear development roadmap, prioritising water through initiatives like the Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna water agreement, and Ganganagar canal repairs. The government is committed to providing daytime electricity to farmers by 2027, with 22 districts already receiving daytime power. Under the state’s Farmer Samman Nidhi, farmers receive ₹9,000 annually, with over ₹11,000 crore transferred directly to farmers’ accounts in the last two years.

Support for youth and employment:
The Chief Minister said the government is opening new investment and employment avenues through the Rising Rajasthan Summit and has introduced the Rajasthan Youth Policy to encourage youth to become job creators. Over one lakh government appointments have already been made, recruitment for more than 1.54 lakh posts is underway, and a recruitment calendar for another one lakh posts has been issued with full transparency.

On the occasion, CM Sharma inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 64 development works worth over ₹370 crore in Tonk, covering education, health, energy, infrastructure, and civic amenities. He also distributed cheques symbolically to beneficiaries of various farmer welfare schemes and handed over solar pump certificates under the PM-KUSUM scheme. Prior to this, he reviewed the Gram Utthan Camp.
The event was attended by Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiya Lal, Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar, local MLAs, public representatives, and dignitaries.
