Chief Secretary held a video conferencing meeting with divisional commissioners and collectors

Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain today held a meeting of the Divisional Commissioners and Collectors of the state through video conference from Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here. In the meeting, the implementation of important schemes of the state government was reviewed. The Chief Secretary took district-wise information from the collectors on solid and liquid waste management in rural and urban areas, land acquisition, correction of errors in revenue records, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Nari Shakti to Jal Shakti, Jal Jeevan Mission, making ration cards of workers registered in the labor portal and protection of children’s rights and other important issues.

The Chief Secretary has emphasized on creating an effective system in rural areas for solid and liquid waste management in rural and urban areas of the state. He has instructed the officials of the Rural Development Department to do continuous monitoring under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Similarly, instructions have also been given to keep data of resolved cases under the Jandarshan program in the districts. In the meeting, district-wise information was taken from the officials of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department about the resolution of cases by correcting errors in the revenue records. To resolve the problems arising in the division of land acquisition, the officials of Public Works Department, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Registration Department and Good Governance and Convergence Department were asked to work in mutual coordination. The officials of the
Water Resources Department were asked to upload important data under the Nari Shakti to Jal Shakti Abhiyan in the portal and were informed about the progress made in the panchayats and villages receiving 100% FHTC under Jal Jeevan Mission.

The Chief Secretary has directed the officials of the Food Department and Labor Department to compulsorily make ration cards of all the workers registered in the labor portal. The officials of the Women and Child Development Department reviewed the district-wise action taken in relation to the protection of child rights. The officials of the Women and Child Development Department were informed about the progress of entering nutrition related information in the Poshan Tracker App. The Chief Secretary took detailed information from the officials of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department regarding the district-wise action taken under the circulars and instructions issued by the government regarding the allotment, management and free hold of government land in urban areas. Similarly, information was taken from the officials of the Health and Family Welfare Department about the progress of work done under various health programs. In this regard, Janjgir-Champa district also gave a presentation on the best practices in the field of health in the district. In this meeting held through video conferencing, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mrs. Niharika Barik Singh, Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department Mr. Avinash Champawat, Special Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Mr. Chandan Kumar, officials of other departments, Divisional Commissioner and Collector of the district were present.
