BJP government will be formed in Punjab in 2027; All central schemes will be implemented: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, February 2026 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that in 2027, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government will be formed in Punjab under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. Once the BJP comes to power, all central government schemes that are being implemented in Haryana and other states will also be implemented in Punjab.

The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the media on Tuesday after attending a programme at Hira Mahal, Nabha.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is like a family to Haryana, as people have close relations across both states. He said Punjab and Haryana share the common culture and values. He added that the people of Punjab have now understood the false promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress. He said that they only make big claims, but do nothing on the ground. He expressed confidence that in coming time a BJP government will be formed in Punjab under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi

Responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that law and order in Punjab has completely deteriorated. People no longer feel safe, incidents of firing at wrestlers in akharas have occurred, and theft cases are also rising. He said Corruption has prevailed in Punjab since the rule of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress party and it is at its peak today. Whether it is property registration or getting a document signed, people are forced to pay money. He said that the promises made by the AAP during the last four years have not been fulfilled so far.

Whereas in Haryana, he said that all promises made under the Sankalp Patra have been fulfilled. He pointed out that AAP had promised to give Rs.1,100 per month to women in Punjab, but this promise remains unfulfilled even today. Meanwhile, in Haryana, women are being provided Rs.2,100 per month under the Lado Laxmi Yojana. Poor families in Haryana are also being provided gas cylinders at Rs. 500. He further said that people who have been in possession of Panchayat land for more than 20 years have been given ownership rights as per rules, whereas in Punjab, housing-related cases are still stuck in legal processes.

The Chief Minister said that Minimum Support Price (MSP) is being given on all crops in Haryana. Besides this, if farmers get lower market prices for crops like potatoes, vegetables, bajra, or others, the loss is being compensated under the ‘Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana’. He recalled that on the jayanti celebration of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi visited Punjab and announced that Adampur Airport would be named after Guru Ravidas Ji, giving honour and respect to crores of his followers. He also said that the Prime Minister has announced plans to develop Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Amritsar as industrial hubs, and these plans will be implemented with full strength once a BJP government is formed in Punjab.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, development works are being carried out at a fast pace without any discrimination. When Punjab faced a natural disaster, the central government provided a relief package of Rs. 1,600 crore for Punjab and Rs.1,500 crore for Himachal Pradesh.
