Divya Kala Mela: A platform that empowers the potential of Divyang entrepreneurs

Divya Kala Mela organized at BTI Ground in Shankar Nagar of capital Raipur is being highly appreciated and liked by the common people as well as the Divyangjans. People are also coming to the fair to shop for Raksha Bandhan festival. The craftsmanship and products of Divyang artisans and entrepreneurs from 16 states are being appreciated and purchased. Divyangjans have got an excellent platform for marketing in this fair. Stalls have been set up for colorful rakhis, home decoration, woolen, cotton and silk clothes, various types of food items, organic food items, jute items, handicrafts and handloom items, pashmina shawls, shoes, jewelry, wooden items, toys and food from every state. This fair is being organized from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm and cultural programs are also being organized every day. This fair is organized till 23 August.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the 17th ‘Divya Kala Mela’ at BTI Ground in Shankar Nagar, capital Raipur yesterday. Divya Kala Mela is an initiative that provides a new platform to Divyang entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their art and enterprise. This fair has been organized from New Delhi to various cities of the country like Varanasi, Bhopal, Mumbai, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Patna. In future, it will be organized in cities of the country as well.

Lakhs of Divyangs and common people reach Divya Kala Mela. Regarding Divya Kala Mela, people say that this is a great initiative by the government, it not only showcases the entrepreneurship of Divyangjans but also promotes the theme of Vocal for Local.
