Jaipur, February 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Diya Kumari said in the Assembly on Thursday that there is a provision for a concessional monthly pass for local residents living within a 20-kilometre radius of toll plazas that are under the control of the State Government. She stated that, at present, there is no proposal under consideration to make light motor vehicles toll-free in the state.
Responding during Question Hour to supplementary questions raised by Member Shri Vikram Banshiwal, the Deputy Chief Minister informed the House that, apart from National Highways, toll is being collected on a total of 83 roads in the state. Of these, toll collection is being carried out on 27 roads by the Rajasthan State Highway Authority, on 39 roads by RSRDC, on 13 roads by RIDCOR, and on 4 roads by the Public Works Department.
Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Shri Banshiwal, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that under the State Government notification dated May 14, 2018, only private vehicles (non-transport vehicles) had been exempted from toll. This exemption was withdrawn on October 31, 2019, in accordance with a policy decision of the State Government.
