Amar Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad was Radiant Voice of Revolution : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar (Bhabra), the birthplace of Amar Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad, in Alirajpur district on his martyrdom day and paid homage at his statue. The Chief Minister, addressing a public gathering, said that Amar Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Azad was the radiant voice of India’s revolution. He stated that the State Government, drawing inspiration from the lives of immortal martyrs and revolutionaries, is moving forward with a firm resolve for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth and women. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the economic landscape of Madhya Pradesh, including Alirajpur district, has undergone a significant transformation, in line with the progress witnessed in Gujarat. He described Alirajpur as the land of Bhil tribal culture and self-respect and noted that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid obeisance to revered local deities, Baba Bhilat Dev, Baba Dungar Dev, Baba Patla Dev, Rani Kajal Mata, Dungri Mata and Malwai Mata, and said that the sacred soil of Alirajpur gave birth to Chandra Shekhar Azad and tribal martyr Chheetu Kirad. He affirmed the State Government’s commitment to honouring and promoting the legacy of local heroes across the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Moan Yadav said that work on the ₹1,800 crore Narmada Irrigation Project is progressing in Alirajpur, which will provide irrigation facilities to 170 villages, benefiting farmers in tribal regions. The year 2026 has been dedicated to farmers’ welfare. Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, eligible women are receiving ₹1,500 per month. Farmers are receiving ₹12,000 annually (₹6,000 each from the Centre and the State) under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Free hearse services have been arranged in districts to assist poor families, and the Rahveer Yojana has been launched to ensure immediate medical treatment for road accident victims. A free coaching scheme has also been introduced to help tribal students prepare for government services. The Chief Minister announced 49 development projects worth ₹171 crore for the comprehensive development of Alirajpur district. He also distributed benefits and certificates to beneficiaries of self-help groups, bank-linked loan schemes, the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, and the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Enterprise Scheme.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually inaugurated 14 development works worth ₹79.92 crore, including the grand Sandipani School built at a cost of ₹34.20 crore in Khandala, four high-level bridges constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana at a cost of ₹27.75 crore, new boys’ and girls’ hostel buildings worth ₹7 crore and new Primary Health Centres at Baledhi (Jobat) and Nanpur costing ₹8 crore. Sub-health centres in Moraji, Khamat, Piliyavat and Bekalgav Badi were also inaugurated. He performed the Bhoomi Poojan for 35 development works worth ₹119.01 crore, including hostels in eight senior and junior schools, 11 new school buildings, 100-seater boys’ and girls’ hostels at Dabdi, Borkundiya and Kadwaniya, and the development of ponds at Ranjitgarh and Sukhbawadi. Bhoomi Poojan was also conducted for a new Janpad Panchayat and community building in Sondwa, the Eklavya Model Residential School in Sondwa, and other projects.

Azad Park to be Developed

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar will be developed as a centre of inspiration and pride for visitors from across the country and abroad. A grand historical Shaheed Park dedicated to Chandra Shekhar Azad will be constructed and developed through the Culture Department to present an attractive and inspiring site for future generations. He said that Azad’s birthplace is not merely a location but a living symbol of patriotism, courage, and self-respect, which must be preserved and enriched.

Tribute at Azad Kutia

Chief Minister Dr. yadav also offered floral tributes at Azad Kutia and viewed rare photographs and accounts of Azad’s life. He remarked that Azad’s life, marked by hard work, self-confidence and indomitable courage, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for youth. At the age of just 15, he participated in the 1921 Non-Cooperation Movement. When asked his name before a magistrate after his arrest, he famously replied, “Name: Azad; Father’s Name: Freedom; Residence: Jail.” The Chief Minister said such unparalleled courage could only be displayed by an immortal martyr like Chandra Shekhar Azad. He recalled how Azad mastered marksmanship while growing up among Bhil children and later became an extraordinary revolutionary.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that the bravery of tribal heroes who fought against British rule is etched in golden letters in history. He also stated that the State Government is firmly committed to preserving the legacy of tribal icons and noted that a university has been established in Khargone in the name of revolutionary Tantya Mama.

Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare Shri Nagar Singh Chauhan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the State Government is making every possible effort for the development of tribal communities. MP Smt. Anita Chauhan, former Minister and MLA Smt. Ranjana Kirade, State Vice Presidents Shri Ranveer Singh Jatav and Shri Nishant Khare, former MLA Shri Madho Singh Dabar, Shri Parwal, other public representatives, and a large number of local citizens were present at the programme.
