Jaipur, February 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Rajasthan is rapidly moving ahead as one of India’s leading states in the fields of technology, digital governance, and the startup ecosystem. We are giving the highest priority to Ease of Doing Business. He said that Rajasthan today is fully prepared for investment. The government has simplified policies and procedures, enabling investors to easily establish their enterprises here. He called upon entrepreneurs to invest in Rajasthan, become active partners in the development of the state, and help realise the vision of a self-reliant and developed India.
Shri Sharma was addressing the Rajasthan C-Side Startup Summit-2026 organised at a private hotel in Jaipur on Friday. He said that Rajasthan today is moving ahead in innovation and partnerships beyond borders as well. This summit, organised jointly with the Republic of Armenia and the Information Technology sector, is a pleasant outcome of this initiative. Through this summit, innovators, investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs will come together to exchange ideas and build mutual cooperation beyond borders.
India Touching New Heights of Innovation Under the Prime Minister’s Leadership
The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India today is touching new heights in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. He believes in “Innovate for India and Innovate from India.” Our government is moving rapidly in the direction of realising this very dream of the Prime Minister. He said that through the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed, out of which work on investments exceeding ₹8 lakh crore has already begun.
More Than 3,450 Startups Registered in the State Through i-Start
Shri Sharma said that Rajasthan is moving rapidly ahead in areas such as AI, deep tech, emerging technologies, machine learning, and data science. Over the past two years, more than 3,450 startups have been registered in the state through i-Start by the government. He said that special focus is being given to sectors such as animation, gaming, extended reality, and comics. The Atal Innovation Studio has encouraged smart governance and improved service delivery. Budget provisions have been made in the 2026–27 budget to equip startup hubs with tinkering labs, deep-tech labs, and data and AI labs.
Rapid Progress Towards Sustainable Industrial Development
The Chief Minister said that the state is rapidly moving towards sustainable industrial development. The Rajasthan Semiconductor Policy-2026 and the Rajasthan Aerospace and Defence Policy-2026 have been approved by the Cabinet. Along with this, a notification has been issued granting a 75 percent rebate in premium to eligible enterprises under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2024. He said that the Single Window Clearance System and the One Stop Shop online portal have been integrated with Rajnivesh. On the Rajnivesh portal, approvals have been issued for more than 2,000 proposals amounting to ₹49,000 crore.
65 Launchpads Developed at School and College Level
The Chief Minister said that today the entire world is looking at India’s youth with hope. Our government is continuously working for the empowerment of youth. We have implemented the Rajasthan Youth Policy and Employment Policy. Along with this, the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme has also been launched, so that youth can become job providers as well. Under this scheme, youth aged 18 to 45 years in the state will be encouraged towards entrepreneurship by providing interest-free loans. He said that to strengthen the startup ecosystem, 65 launchpads have been developed at school and college level across 33 districts.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Afyan, said that continuous cooperation is being undertaken to promote technology and innovation between India and Armenia. He said that through this summit, ideas and capital, technology and markets, and the people of the two countries will get an opportunity to come together, which will help in the formulation of technology-based policies. Praising the leadership of Rajasthan, he said that due to the proactive initiatives of the state government, significant work is being done in the fields of startups and technology in the state.
At the summit, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government is continuously striving to promote digital-based innovations and startups. Technology plays an important role in realising the concept of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the government had organised Digifest to promote startups, which helped boost digital platforms in the state and give a new direction to innovative entrepreneurship.
During this period, the Chief Minister also interacted with various startup founders from Armenia and Rajasthan. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary (Administrative Reforms) Dinesh Kumar, Commissioner, Information Technology and Communication Department Himanshu Gupta, along with investors, entrepreneurs, and founders of various startups were present.
