CM Devendra Fadnavis Launches ‘Teerth Vitthal, Kshetra Vitthal’ Coffee Table Book
Mumbai, March 2026 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today released the coffee table book ‘Teerth Vitthal, Kshetra Vitthal’ at the official residence, Varsha.
The event was attended by noted litterateur Aruna Dhere, renowned singer Padma Shri Dr. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, the book’s creator Vinod Pawar, former MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Bhide, and other members of the delegation.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Fadnavis expressed his खुशी (joy) at unveiling such a beautifully curated coffee table book. He said that the true essence of Maharashtra is reflected in the Wari tradition, Pandharpur, and the devotion to Lord Vitthal. Each Wari carries countless unique stories, which can now be experienced through this book.
The Chief Minister further said that both the pilgrimage (Teerth) and the deity associated with it hold equal importance. The book provides insights into the history, significance, and key aspects of this spiritual tradition. With its rich information and striking photographs, the coffee table book has become a valuable collectible.
Fadnavis also noted that the book would play an important role in presenting the Pandharpur Wari tradition to UNESCO under the category of intangible cultural heritage.
