Joint Control Room Set Up In Lunglei To Monitor Pol And Lpg Supply

Lunglei, March 2026: The Deputy Commissioner of Lunglei District, Pi Navneet Mann, has issued a notification designating the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) as the Joint Control Room to monitor the availability and distribution of essential commodities, particularly Petroleum, Oil & Lubricants (POL) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), across the district.

The decision has been taken in compliance with directives from the Government of Mizoram, aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential commodities and curbing misinformation in view of potential disruptions in international energy supply chains.

The Joint Control Room, which has become operational with immediate effect, will monitor supply conditions, address related issues, and take necessary measures to prevent hoarding, black marketing, and the spread of misinformation that could lead to public panic. Citizens may contact the DEOC at 9862653478 for assistance or information.

The Control Room will function under a committee comprising the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, District Civil Supplies Officer, District Information & Public Relations Officer (DIPRO), and representatives from DEOC/DDMA.
