Chief Minister participated in public dialogue programme held in Munger district during Samriddhi Yatra

Patna, March 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today participated in a public dialogue programme organized at Safiyabad Airstrip premises in Munger district as part of the Samriddhi Yatra.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that a large number of people are present here and he welcomed and greeted everyone. He said that for the first time in Bihar, an NDA government was formed on November 24, 2005, and since then rule of law has been established in the state and continuous efforts are being made for development.

He said that before 2005, the condition of Bihar was very poor. People did not step out of their homes after evening, there were frequent disputes in society, and communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims were common. The condition of education was poor, very few children could study, healthcare facilities were inadequate, roads were in bad shape, and electricity supply was negligible. He said that now there is no atmosphere of fear in the state, and there is harmony, brotherhood, and peace.

The Chief Minister said that special attention was given to the education sector, new schools were opened, teachers were appointed, and schemes like uniforms and bicycles were introduced. He highlighted improvements in healthcare, stating that earlier only a few patients visited primary health centres, but now thousands receive treatment every month with free medicines and better facilities.

He also spoke about infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, and improved connectivity, saying that travel time to Patna has significantly reduced. Agricultural growth has improved due to planned roadmaps, increasing production of grains, fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, meat, and fish.

He mentioned initiatives under Saat Nischay programmes, including electricity for every household, tap water, sanitation, women empowerment, and employment generation. He said that millions of jobs and employment opportunities have already been provided, and the target is to provide one crore jobs in the coming years.

The Chief Minister also spoke about schemes for poor families, women empowerment, pensions, and financial assistance to disadvantaged groups. He highlighted that self-help groups have expanded significantly, empowering women across the state.

He said that under Saat Nischay–3, focus will be on doubling income, promoting industries, supporting startups, improving healthcare and education, and enhancing infrastructure. Industrial zones, new colleges, hospitals, and tourism development will be promoted in the coming years.

Speaking about Munger, he said that several development works have been carried out in the district, including roads, bridges, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities. He added that more projects will be undertaken to ensure overall development of the district.

The programme was also addressed by Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Minister Sanjay Kumar, and other public representatives. A large number of people attended the event.
