Tarun Bharat Continues Its Mission of Preserving and Spreading Ideas: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that when a social movement completes 100 years without any political backing or patronage, it reflects a strong ideological foundation behind it—and that is precisely what has sustained Tarun Bharat over the decades.

He was speaking at the centenary celebration of the daily newspaper Tarun Bharat, held at Kavi Suresh Bhat Auditorium in Reshimbagh, Nagpur. The event was attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Mohan Bhagwat, President of Narkesari Prakashan Vilas Dangre, Working President Anil Dandekar, Managing Director Dhananjay Bapat, and other board members.

Fadnavis said that Tarun Bharat has continued its work unwaveringly, even in adverse circumstances, driven by its ideological commitment. The significance of its 100-year journey lies in the fact that it has thrived without political support or patronage. He noted that the publication has consistently and sincerely worked to preserve ideas and convey them to society, thereby fulfilling its foundational objectives. He also extended his best wishes for the newspaper’s expansion to Pune, expressing confidence in its continued success there.

Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Gadkari remarked that Tarun Bharat faced numerous challenges over the years but never compromised on its ideological stance. He also acknowledged the valuable contributions of Bhausaheb Madkholkar and others in shaping its century-long journey.

During the event, special publications titled Samarpan, highlighting the work of senior pracharaks of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Avirat, a commemorative supplement marking the centenary, were released by the dignitaries.

In his introductory remarks, Anil Dandekar reviewed the 100-year journey of Tarun Bharat, while Vilas Dangre shared his reflections on the publication’s legacy. The programme was also attended by Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Water Resources Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike, and Rajya Sabha MP Maya Ivenate, among other dignitaries.

A special interview of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat was also conducted during the programme by Tarun Bharat Editor-in-Chief Shailesh Pandey and Rajaram Library Secretary Ravindra Deshpande. Additionally, an exhibition showcasing photographs of the newspaper’s historic front pages was organized at the venue to mark the centenary celebrations.
