Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee Inspects EF&CC Department’s Central Nursery at Sairang

Aizawl, March 2026: On March 18, 2026, an inspecting team of the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee (MSPMC), led by Vice Chairman Pu R. Lal Rinawma, visited Sairang Dinthar to review various works being carried out using CAMPA funds.

The Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee was constituted in accordance with decisions of the Steering Committee of the State Authority of CAMPA and as per directives from the Finance Department and the Planning & Programme Implementation Department. The committee is tasked with monitoring the utilization of CAMPA funds in the state. It examines ongoing projects, fund usage, and the list of activities undertaken. As part of its initial field inspection, the committee selected the Central Nursery at Sairang Dinthar.

The MSPMC inspecting team reviewed the following works:

  1. Repair, renovation, and improvement of the Orchidarium at Sairang
  2. Upgradation and maintenance of the Interpretation Centre (a facility for educating visitors about various plant species)

During the inspection, the team conducted a thorough and detailed assessment to verify whether the funds were being utilized appropriately and whether the works were being executed effectively. The findings of the inspection will be submitted to the Government of Mizoram.

The Vice Chairman was accompanied by MSPMC members Prof. Chawngsailova, Pu P.C. Malsawma, Pi Lalremsangi Fanai, and Pi Ngurmawii Sailo, along with Pu Vannunmawia, PS to the Vice Chairman. Officials from the Aizawl Forest Division, including DFO Pu Lalnunsanga Khawlhring, ACF Pu Andrew Lalthlamuana, Range Officers Pu James Thanmawia and Pu Biakchhunga (Sairang), and their staff, received and assisted the visiting team.
