Calls growing youth participation in ‘Bhajan Clubbing’ inspiring

New Delhi, March 2026 : Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta visited the Jhandewala Temple on Thursday, marking the first day of Chaitra Navratri, where she offered prayers to Goddess Durga. She prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of Delhi, and performed special rituals in the temple premises, expressing her deep faith in the divine feminine power.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Navratri symbolizes India’s rich cultural heritage, devotion and strength. She noted that the festival inspires people with positive energy, inner strength and a spirit of service towards society. She also expressed hope that Goddess Durga’s blessings continue to guide every family in Delhi, bringing peace, happiness and prosperity into their lives.

After offering prayers, Gupta attended a devotional music event titled ‘Bhajan Clubbing’, organised near the temple. The event featured soulful bhajans and devotional performances that filled the surroundings with a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Appreciating the artists, the Chief Minister said such cultural and spiritual gatherings play an important role in bringing communities together and spreading positive energy. She added that devotional music not only keeps traditions alive but also strengthens unity, peace and harmony in society.

Highlighting the growing interest among young people, Gupta said the increasing participation of youth in events like Bhajan Clubbing is both encouraging and inspiring. She emphasized that such initiatives are helping connect the younger generation with India’s cultural and spiritual roots.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the Delhi government remains committed to preserving and promoting cultural and spiritual traditions, and will continue to support and encourage such initiatives.
