Jaipur, March 2026 : The annual fest “Tarangini 2026” and prize distribution ceremony of Engineering College, Ajmer was held with great enthusiasm at Jawahar Rangmanch on Wednesday. The event showcased an impressive blend of creativity, talent, and discipline among students.

Chief Guest Vasudev Devnani said that such annual celebrations revive cherished memories of student life and inspire youth not just to dream, but to turn those dreams into reality. Referring to the theme of Tarangini, he encouraged students to keep moving forward in life like waves, with consistency and determination.

Praising the institution’s achievements, he said the college stands out for its high placement record and that the true identity of an institution lies in the accomplishments of its students rather than its infrastructure. He also lauded the achievement of a female student being selected for the Indian Air Force, calling it a matter of pride.

He urged students to embrace Indian culture, values, and traditions alongside their education, and remain connected to their roots. Highlighting India’s rich scientific and cultural heritage, he cited examples of great scholars like Aryabhata and Brahmagupta, as well as heritage sites like Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, motivating students to move ahead with confidence.

In the current global scenario, he noted, India is emerging as a strong nation, with developed countries seeking collaboration. He encouraged students to use their knowledge and skills for the upliftment of economically weaker sections through innovation, and stressed the balanced use of artificial intelligence in line with Indian values.

College Principal Dr. Rekha Mehra, in her welcome address, highlighted the importance of such platforms in fostering holistic development among students.

Event coordinator Dr. Saroj Lakhawat informed that the cultural programme featured a variety of captivating performances. Group dances, solo acts, and a band performance by Funkar Group enthralled the audience. Fashion walk presentations based on themes like Mahabharata, women empowerment, and unity also drew appreciation.

Special Guest Prof. Narayan Lal Gupta emphasised that such festivals provide a platform for students to showcase talent and inspire others through teamwork, creativity, and perseverance.

Winners of various competitions, including solo dance, group dance, and fashion walk, were felicitated during the समारोह, which concluded on a vibrant and celebratory note.
