Nashik Police Commissioner’s Office Tops State in 150-Day E-Governance Initiative
Nashik, March 2026 : Under the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the 150-Day E-Governance Program awarded first place in the police commissionerate category to the Nashik Police Commissioner’s Office for implementing the “Nashik District – Bastion of Law” initiative. On this occasion, CM Fadnavis honored Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik at a ceremony held at Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai, attended by IT & Cultural Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal, and Director General of Police Sadanand Date, among others.
The CM had directed all government offices to implement e-governance reforms under the 150-Day action plan. Accordingly, the state administration launched the program to enhance digital administration across departments.
Evaluation Criteria and Results
The participating offices were evaluated on seven key components: official websites, Aaple Sarkar system, e-office, office dashboards, WhatsApp and chatbots, artificial intelligence and blockchain usage, and geographic information systems (GIS). The Quality Council of India conducted the final assessment of all state offices under the program. The Nashik Police Commissioner’s Office scored 156.25 points, securing first place in the police commissionerate category statewide.
Digital Initiatives and Citizen Engagement
Under Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik’s leadership, the Nashik Police Commissionerate implemented multiple digital initiatives and citizen engagement programs, including e-meet with CP, walk-in tours, and projects prioritizing citizen safety. These initiatives enhanced transparency, efficiency, and effective use of technology in policing operations.
The Nashik Police Department’s performance during the 150-day program demonstrated its commitment to digital governance and citizen safety, earning them the top position in the state.
