Mother Karma’s Ideals Inspire Unity, Organisation and Strength: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur, March 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday said that the ideals of Mother Karma inspire people to become united, organised and empowered. He was addressing the state-level Bhakt Mata Karma Jayanti Mahotsav 2026 held in Surajpur.

The Chief Minister paid floral tribute to the statue of Bhakt Mata Karma and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. Prior to the event, he visited Bhakt Mata Karma Chowk on Surajpur Ring Road, where he performed rituals and sought blessings.

He said that the life of Mother Karma is a powerful example of sacrifice, service and dedication, and it motivates society to move forward with unity and a positive outlook.

In his address, the Chief Minister described the Sahu community as a proud, cultured and progressive society. He said that great personalities like Bhakt Mata Karma, Mata Rajim Dai and the generous Bhamashah are invaluable assets of this community. He added that the Sahu community has always played an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh and will continue to contribute to the state’s progress.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to tackling Naxalism, Sai said that the Bastar region, once heavily affected by Naxal violence, is now rapidly integrating into the mainstream of development. With improvements in roads, electricity, education and healthcare, more than 400 villages have been connected to development initiatives, and Bastar is set to achieve new milestones.

Referring to global developments, the Chief Minister said that despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the energy crisis, India remains in a stable position under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged citizens to avoid rumours and maintain trust in the administration.

Highlighting his government’s achievements, Sai said that the guarantees given by Prime Minister Modi are being implemented on priority in Chhattisgarh. He noted that before Holi, over 2.5 million farmers received payments exceeding Rs 10,000 crore. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, around 7 million women have been provided financial assistance of over Rs 16,000 crore.

He also mentioned that landless agricultural labourers have been given financial support of Rs 10,000 each, strengthening their livelihoods. Additionally, schemes like Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme are enabling thousands of devotees to undertake religious journeys.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a community building for the Sahu community and Rs 25 lakh for building a boundary wall, stating that this support will strengthen community organisation and development.

Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu and several other dignitaries were also present at the event.
