Rajasthan’s ‘One District One Product’ Policy Taking Local Products Global Under CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, March 2026 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is steadily strengthening local development through its ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) Policy-2024, helping Rajasthan’s unique products gain global recognition. The initiative is empowering local artisans and entrepreneurs while accelerating employment generation and economic growth across the state.
The policy aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed India by 2047 through comprehensive grassroots development. Emphasising “Vocal for Local” and inclusive growth, the ODOP initiative is turning the vision of “local to global” into reality, with Rajasthan’s products carving a distinct identity on the global stage.
Under this policy, each district has identified a signature product, enabling better utilisation of local resources and skills while preserving regional uniqueness. The initiative is fostering entrepreneurship in rural areas by providing technical support, financial assistance and improved market access to entrepreneurs.
The state government is offering extensive financial and technical aid to support businesses. New micro and small ODOP enterprises are eligible for a margin money subsidy of up to 25 per cent of the project cost, capped at ₹25 lakh. Additionally, up to 50 per cent financial assistance (maximum ₹5 lakh) is provided for adopting advanced technology and software for technological upgradation.
The policy also supports quality certification and intellectual property rights, offering up to 75 per cent reimbursement (maximum ₹3 lakh) for related expenses. Entrepreneurs joining e-commerce platforms can avail 75 per cent reimbursement of up to ₹1 lakh annually for two years. For technological advancement, a 50 per cent subsidy (up to ₹5 lakh) is available for acquiring advanced technology or software from recognised national institutions.
To boost marketing and digital reach, the government provides up to 60 per cent assistance (maximum ₹75,000) for cataloguing services and development of e-commerce websites. These measures are helping strengthen branding and ensure better market access for local products.
The policy has significantly promoted entrepreneurship and local industries across Rajasthan. Financial assistance has already been disbursed to numerous beneficiaries, supporting enterprise establishment, market expansion and production upgrades. Special emphasis has been placed on marketing, e-commerce integration, quality certification and technological advancement.
To further enhance visibility, the state government is organising exhibitions, facilitating participation in national and international events, and providing training to entrepreneurs. These efforts are helping local products gain wider recognition and access to larger markets, reinforcing Rajasthan’s journey from local excellence to global prominence.
