Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal Reviews Ramkal Path and Key Development Works in Nashik

Nashik, April 2026 : In preparation for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027, Chief Secretary Rajesh Agrawal conducted an on-site inspection of major religious, historical, and infrastructure locations in Nashik city and reviewed the progress of development works. He directed all departments to work in coordination and adopt a well-planned approach to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality facilities for devotees.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pravin Gedam, Simhastha Kumbh Mela Authority Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri, Archaeology Department Secretary Dr. Kiran Kulkarni, Director Tejas Garge, Additional Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Chaudhary, Additional Commissioner of the Kumbh Mela Authority Kamalakar Randive, Assistant Director Amol Gote, Deputy Commissioners of Police Monika Raut and Kirankumar Chavan, City Engineer Sanjay Agrawal, Assistant Engineer of the power distribution company Shashank Pendharkar, and Tehsildar Yogesh Chandre, along with other officials, were present during the inspection.

During the visit, instructions were given to strengthen tourist facilities at the Regional Museum in Nashik. At the Saraf Bazaar police outpost, the Chief Secretary reviewed security arrangements and directed officials to prepare an effective policing plan for the Kumbh Mela period.

At major religious sites including Shri Balaji Temple, Shri Kalaram Temple, Sita Gufa, and Gore Ram Temple, he emphasized the need to enhance arrangements for entry and exit routes, cleanliness, drinking water, and basic amenities, keeping in mind the expected rise in the number of devotees.

While inspecting ongoing works at the Ramsetu Bridge and Ram Jhula areas, he stressed the importance of ensuring safe pedestrian movement, strong infrastructure, and efficient guidance systems. He also directed concerned departments to complete beautification and infrastructure development works in the Ramkal Path area with quality and within the stipulated timeline.

The Chief Secretary also attended the Goda Aarti along with officials during his visit.
