Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani Pays Courtesy Visit to Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan
Jaipur, April 2026 : Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani paid a courtesy visit to Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan on Friday at the Vice President’s residence, ahead of the release ceremony of the Indian Constitution in the Sindhi language.
During the meeting, Devnani presented the Vice President with a book published by the State Legislative Assembly Secretariat titled “Parliamentary Culture: Two Years of Innovation”, along with the Assembly’s official diary.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with Lok Sabha MP from Indore Shankar Lalwani, were also present on the occasion.
Devnani informed the Vice President that the Assembly diary features photographs documenting significant events from the formation of Rajasthan to the present day. These include historic moments such as the oath-taking ceremony of Jaipur’s then Maharaja Man Singh as Rajpramukh by the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on March 30, 1949, as well as addresses delivered by India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the State Assembly.
He also mentioned that since assuming office, a new tradition has been initiated to publish the Assembly’s book and diary annually on the occasion of the Indian New Year, Chaitra Pratipada.
Tribute to Morarji Desai
On the occasion, Devnani also paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Morarji Desai on his death anniversary at the Vice President’s residence.
