Narmadapuram–Timarni State Highway will Open New Path of Progress: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today is an important day in history of India’s democracy. Under leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, discussion has begun in Lok Sabha on one of biggest decisions of 21st century, Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam will prove to be a milestone in direction of political and social empowerment of women. Woman is not only creator of life but also real architect of nation’s progress. When we envision a developed India, stories of strength, struggle and success of half of the population are clearly visible in its foundation. Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam is a revolutionary step towards giving constitutional recognition to this strength and opening new doors of leadership for women in democratic institutions. Prime Minister Shri Modi is giving equal focus on infrastructure development along with socio-economic upliftment of people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a programme organised on occasion of bhoomi-pujan for upgradation and reconstruction of 72 kilometer long Narmadapuram–Timarni State Highway-67, worth more than Rs 972 crore, in Seoni-Malwa of Narmadapuram district. Public Works Minister and in-charge of Narmadapuram Shri Rakesh Singh was present in the programme.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in state, 50 percent seats are already reserved for women in local bodies and urban body elections. The state government is committed to welfare of women and fulfills what it
promises. More than Rs 55 thousand crore has been provided so far to over 1.25 crore LadliBehna beneficiaries in state. Since inception of Ladli Behna Yojana, more than Rs 40,500 per beneficiary has been transferred into bank accounts of women. Women should not worry, along with increasing amount of scheme to Rs 1500, whatever more possible will also be done.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working with dedication for welfare of all sections. For first time in state, under “Mata Yashoda Yojana”, free milk packets will be distributed to children of government schools. This will help children become physically and mentally healthy. To increase milk production and promote cattle rearing, “Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana” has been started, which will help make people self-reliant. The state government has started Rahveer Yojana to assist injured persons on road, under which person taking injured to hospital will be given incentive of Rs 25,000. Air ambulance services are also being operated to help poor and needy during difficult times.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Narmadapuram district, encompassing agriculture, tourism, industry, wildlife and tribal regions, is full of diversity. Cabinet meeting was held in Pachmarhi in name of Raja Bhabhoot Singh. Narmada Lok is also being developed in Narmadapuram. Various activities are being carried out for development of industry and agriculture in district. Roads are foundation of development, and keeping this in view, many road projects are underway in Narmadapuram district. He said that Seoni-Malwa is receiving development works worth about Rs 1000 crore. This includes bhoomi-pujan of upgradation and reconstruction of 72 kilometer long Narmadapuram–Timarni State Highway-67 worth more than Rs 972 crore. This is not just a road; it will make direct connectivity to Indore and Ujjain easier. Through this state highway, Seoni-Malwa will enter a new phase and the entire region will benefit from improved connectivity. With this road, a new dawn of development has begun in Seoni-Malwa. Along with state highway, Seoni-Malwa has received 96 development works worth Rs 106 crore 30 lakh, including inauguration of 45 works costing Rs 48 crore 61 lakh and bhoomi-pujan of 51 works worthRs 57 crore 69 lakh.
Major Announcements by CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced development of irrigation project at Hathnapur village of Aawali Ghat on Narmada river. This project will benefit more than 10,000 farmers of 40 villages in the region. Chief Minister announced allocation from special fund for development of basic facilities such as roads, sewage, electricity and water in Municipal Council Seoni-Malwa. Approval for Seoni-Malwa–Shivpur Bawari main road, construction of Peepalpura bridge and additional classrooms in government schools of Banapura were also announced. He also announced survey for Sandipani Vidyalaya in Shivpur and Dolpur and approval of one school.
In the programme, Public Works Minister and in-charge of Narmadapuram district Shri Rakesh Singh said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has provided numerous development works in every district of state. Seoni-Malwa is an agriculturally rich region. In last two years alone, roads worth Rs 984 crore have been provided to Seoni-Malwa. The state government organised a historic Regional Industry Conclave in Narmadapuram district, which received unprecedented investment. Public Works Department is constructing quality roads. MLA Shri Premshankar Verma said that under leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Seoni-Malwa is continuously receiving development works. Expansion of road network and development of irrigation facilities are benefiting farmers. As a result of initiatives of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Indian Oil is establishing a new plant in Dolaria, which will provide employment to youth of Narmadapuram. MLA Shri Verma requested development works for facilities for devotees at AawaliGhat and preparation of plan to prevent sewage of Seoni-Malwa city from flowing into the river.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the famous DakshinMukhi Hanuman Temple in city and performed rituals of worship of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Bajrangbali, and commenced road show from Hanuman
Temple. During the road show, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted people of the region. Residents welcomed him with flower shower.
The road show started from Dakshinmukhi Hanuman Temple at Harda Naka and passed through in front of Forest Department office, Govardhan Temple Chowk, Kallu Chowk, Rewa Parisar, Narmada Temple Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Jai Stambh Chowk, Municipal Council office, in front of mosque, via Kandeli river bridge and concluded at old bus stand. Various social and business organisations welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival in city with offerings of fruits, sweets, cashew, raisins and laddus. During the road show, large number of residents gathered eagerly to see their Chief Minister. Pensioners Association, women self-help groups, RathoreSamaj, Panchayat Secretary and Deputy Secretary Association, sanitation workers union and all councillors participated. In addition, Private School Association, Vanshkar Samaj, Shri Nishad Samaj and all trader associations also welcomed the Chief Minister.
