Sports facilities continue to expand in Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that sports facilities in Madhya Pradesh are being continuously expanded. The government is making efforts to ensure that players have access to modern sports infrastructure, training, and other essential resources. Due to these efforts, the state’s sporting talents are delivering outstanding performances at the international level. In Ujjain, sports facilities at various grounds are also being modernized. The Ksheer Sagar Ground will also be developed jointly by the Municipal Corporation and the Sports Department.

On Sunday night in Ujjain, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav watched the final match of the Firoziya Trophy and encouraged the players. On this occasion, he also announced additional cash prizes of ₹1 lakh for the winning team and ₹51,000 for the runner-up team.

The Firoziya Trophy was organized from April 12 to April 19 at Ksheer Sagar Ground in Ujjain. The final match witnessed an exciting contest between the two teams, keeping the audience engaged till the end. Member of Parliament Shri Anil Firoziya expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for attending the event every year and motivating the players.

The Firoziya Trophy has been organized annually for the past 21 years in memory of the late Bhurelal Firoziya, father of MP Shri Anil Firoziya. The first prize of the tournament is ₹5.51 lakh, while the second prize is ₹2.51 lakh. This year, reflecting the spirit of women’s empowerment, a women’s cricket match and a Matri Shakti felicitation ceremony were also organized.

MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Shri Ravi Solanki, and a large number of spectators were present at the event.
