Lucknow, April 2026 : In line with Yogi government’s commitment to “transparent and cheating-free recruitment,” the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has prepared an unprecedented security framework for the Home Guard Enrolment 2025 written examination. More than 25.32 lakh candidates will appear for the exam, which is being conducted for 41,424 posts.
The examination will be held on April 25, 26, and 27 across 1,053 centres in the state in two shifts. Under the direction of Yogi government, this comprehensive and multi-layered arrangement will not only ensure fairness in the examination but also reinforce the government’s commitment to a transparent recruitment process.
Board Chairman DG S.B. Shiradkar said, “To ensure the integrity of the examination, nodal officers of the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police/Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police have been appointed in every district. At all centres, one inspector/sub-inspector has been deployed for every 240 candidates. All candidates will undergo strict screening at entry gates using handheld metal detectors. Female candidates will be checked in enclosed spaces by female police personnel.”
Question papers are stored in treasuries under a double-lock system, with keys held by different officials. The strong rooms are equipped with 24-hour electricity, internet, and fire safety systems. A route map has been prepared for transporting question papers to centres, and rehearsals have been conducted by sector magistrates. Photography during transportation has been completely prohibited.
All examination centres have been thoroughly sanitised, and inspections of rooftops, corridors, grounds, and washrooms have been carried out to ensure no electronic devices or prohibited materials are hidden. Continuous CCTV surveillance will be maintained at all centres and strong rooms. Basic facilities such as drinking water, clock rooms, and bell systems for time announcements have also been ensured.
Candidates are allowed to bring only their admit card, identity proof, and black/blue pen. Any type of watch, mobile phone, Bluetooth device, or other electronic equipment is strictly prohibited inside the examination centres. Room invigilators have been instructed to strictly enforce seating arrangements and discipline.
Special police arrangements have been made at railway stations and bus stands for crowd management during the examination. UP-112 vehicles and ambulances will be deployed around examination centres to handle any emergency situation promptly. Social media will also be closely monitored to prevent the spread of rumours.
DG Shiradkar said that to ensure a cheating-free and transparent examination, candidates will have to undergo an Aadhaar-based e-KYC process before entering the examination centre. In addition, iris biometric desks will be set up at centres for candidate verification. This system will effectively prevent impersonation and similar irregularities, and strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
