39th Chakradhar Samaroh-2024 to be organized from September 7
The District Administration Raigarh will organize the internationally renowned 39th Chakradhar Samaroh 2024 from 6 pm every day at Ramlila Maidan Raigarh from 7 September with the support of Chhattisgarh Government, Culture Department, Tourism Board and public. Artists have been invited for the ceremony as per the recommendation of the Artist Selection Committee constituted under the guidance of Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal and under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Raigarh Shri Divyang Patel. On the inaugural day on 7 September at 5.30 pm, Padma Shri Hema Malini will present the dance drama ‘Radha Rasbihari’ based on Bharatnatyam. Along with this, Padma Shri Ramlal ji will be honored, Kathak group dance by Shri Bhupendra Bareth, Karma folk dance by Shri Maniyar Bhagat Jashpur will also be performed.

District administration officials informed that on the second day, September 8, folk singing by Mr. Vijay Sharma Raigarh, classical singing by Ms. Vani Rao Bhopal, Odissi dance by Padmashree Ranjana Gauhar Delhi, classical singing by Ms. Mandakini Swain Delhi and Sarod recital by Mr. Sougata Ganguly Kolkata will present and on the third day, September 9, classical singing by Mr. Ramprasad Sarathi Kharsia, Kathak by Ms. Jaya Dewan and Ms. Dharitri Singh Chauhan, Kathak by Mr. Shaiky Singh Delhi, Odissi dance by Mr. Gajendra Panda Tridhara Bhubaneshwar, fusion, tabla, santoor, sitar, violin, percussion by Mr. Jeetu Shankar Mumbai and Qawwali by Mr. Chand Afzal Qadri will present.
Similarly, on September 10, Mrs. Anita Sharma Raigarh will perform bhajans, Ms. Nitya Khatri Bilaspur will perform Kathak, Mr. Tamseer Mohammad Raipur will perform accordion, Mr. Shiv Prasad Rao Delhi will perform classical singing, Mr. Rakesh Chaurasia Mumbai will perform flute, Mrs. Basanti Vaishnav and Jyotishree Bohidar Bilaspur will perform Kathak and Mr. Prabhanjay Chaturvedi Raipur will sing ghazals. On September 11, Ms. Soumya Namdev Raigarh will perform Kathak, Ms. Vidhi Sen Gupta will perform Odissi, Ms. Deepmala Singh will perform Kathak, Ms. Anushka Soni Jabalpur will perform sitar, Ms. Upasana Bhaskar will perform Kathak group dance, Ms. Meenakshi Sheshadri will perform Bharatnatyam and Mr. Rakesh Sharma and Mrs. Nisha Sharma will perform folk singing. Similarly, on 12th September 2024, Tabla recital by Mr. Anshul Pratap Singh Bhopal, Bharatnatyam by Ms. Diksha Ghosh Raigarh, Kathak by Ms. Anvita Vishwakarma Raipur, Kathak by Dr. Aarti Singh Raipur, Santoor by Mr. Rahul Sharma Mumbai and Tabla recital by Mr. Ramkumar Mishra Delhi, Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi by Dr. G. Rathis Babu and various Chhattisgarhi folk dances will be presented by the artists of Indira Kala and Sangeet University.
On September 13, Chhattisgarhi group dance-song will be presented by Mr. Hutendra Ishwar Sharma Raigarh, Kathak by Ms. Sharvi Kesharwani Sarangarh, Bharatnatyam by Mrs. Bhadra Sinha and Gayatri Sharma Delhi, Odissi by Mr. Lucky Mohanty Cuttack, Assamese Sattriya dance by Ms. Mudusmita Das Guwahati, Mohiniyattam by Ms. Vidya Pradeep Kochin and Kabir and Sufi singing by Padmashri Dr. Bharati Bandhu Raipur and on September 14, Ms. Ananta Pandey Raigarh will present various art dances, Ms. Shaswati Banerjee Raigarh will present Kathak, Bharatnatyam by Ms. Krishnabhadra Namboodiri Mumbai, Kuchipudi by Dr. Raghupatruni Srikant Srikakulam, classical singing (Khyal and Thumri, Gwalior Gharana) by Mr. Vinod Mishra Satna, Manipuri by Ms. Paushaali Chatterjee Kolkata and Kathak dance by Mr. Alok Shrivas Delhi. Similarly, on 15th September, Ms. Palak Devangan Raigarh will present Kathak, Pandit Pradeep Kumar Choubey Raipur will present classical singing (Kirana Gharana), Ms. Bhumisuta Mishra Raipur will present Odissi dance, Ms. Vedika Sharan Bilaspur will present Kathak, Ms. Maya Kulshreshtha Delhi will present Kathak, Padmashri Devyani Delhi will present Bharatnatyam and Padmashri Anuj Sharma Raipur will present Chhattisgarh folk singing. On the closing day, 16th September, at 5.30 pm, Ms. Manasi Dutta Guwahati will present Bihu folk dance and Mr. Anil Kumar Gadhewal Bilaspur will present Gendi folk dance. On the same day, there will be a kavi sammelan in which Dr. Kumar Vishwas Ghaziabad, Padmashri Dr. Surendra Dubey, Mr. Dinesh Bawra, Mr. Sudeep Bhola and Ms. Sakshi Tiwari will recite poetry.
