No Compromise on Construction Quality: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Orders Probe into Damaged Road
Raipur, May 2026 : Vishnu Deo Sai has taken a strict stance over reports of a recently constructed CC road in Dadhhi नगर पंचायत, located in Bemetara district, being damaged within a short period. Taking immediate cognisance of the issue, the Chief Minister emphasised that any negligence or compromise in the quality of development works is completely unacceptable.
Sai held a telephonic discussion with Bemetara Collector Pratishtha Mamgai and directed her to conduct a detailed and time-bound inquiry into the matter. He instructed that a thorough technical assessment of the road be carried out to determine the actual condition and to examine the quality of materials used, construction standards, and the supervision process.
The Chief Minister further directed that if the investigation reveals any lapses in quality, violation of norms, or irregularities, strict action must be taken against the contractor and officials responsible, as per the law. He also ordered the immediate reconstruction of the damaged road to ensure safe and smooth transportation for the public.
In addition, Sai instructed authorities to review other ongoing construction projects in the district to prevent similar incidents. He stressed that ensuring quality, transparency, and accountability in development works is a fundamental responsibility of the administration, and no compromise would be tolerated at any level.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to public welfare, the Chief Minister said that those found negligent in projects related to public interest will be held accountable and face necessary action. He also called for continuous monitoring, regular field inspections, and a robust quality control mechanism to ensure durability and reliability of infrastructure.
Sai underlined that the government’s intent is clear—to guarantee quality, transparency, and accountability in every development project, thereby strengthening public trust.
Notably, he has already issued directives to enhance monitoring and quality control of construction works across the state to ensure that citizens benefit from safe, durable, and dependable infrastructure.
