Dialogue Brings Relief: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Addresses Power Bill Concerns in Kamrakhol

Raipur, May 2026: As part of the Sushasan Tihar 2026 initiative, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the remote forest village of Kamrakhol on May 4, bringing reassurance and immediate relief to local residents through direct interaction and on-the-spot problem-solving.

During a chaupal (village gathering) held under a mango tree, the Chief Minister engaged directly with villagers, listening to their concerns and issuing prompt instructions to officials for swift resolution. The interaction emerged as a strong example of grassroots governance and trust-building between the administration and the public.

Relief on Electricity Bill Concerns

One of the key issues raised during the meeting was the burden of rising electricity bills and pending dues. Responding immediately, the Chief Minister reassured the concerned villager, saying, “There is no need to worry — your government stands with you.”

He explained that the state government’s electricity bill settlement scheme has been introduced to provide relief to economically weaker sections. Under this initiative, substantial waivers are being offered on outstanding electricity dues. The scheme benefits domestic consumers as well as agricultural pump users, with additional concessions specifically designed for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

Immediate Action and Ground-Level Sensitivity

The Chief Minister’s approach went beyond assurances. He directed the district administration to organise special camps at the gram panchayat level so that residents of Kamrakhol and nearby villages can resolve their issues locally without having to visit government offices repeatedly.

District Collector Gopal Verma informed that more than 13,000 consumers in the district have already benefited from the scheme, with total relief exceeding ₹11.75 crore provided in the form of bill waivers.

A Living Example of Good Governance

The Kamrakhol chaupal highlighted how direct dialogue between leadership and citizens can simplify even complex issues. The initiative demonstrated that effective governance is not limited to policy-making but lies in ensuring that benefits reach the last mile efficiently.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s visit underscored the importance of responsive administration and people-centric governance, reinforcing the idea that meaningful engagement can transform challenges into solutions at the grassroots level.
