Rajasthan Invites Investors at GRAM-2026 Meet in Hyderabad, MoUs Worth Over Rs 200 Crore Signed
Jaipur, May 2026: Bhajanlal Sharma said Rajasthan has moved beyond traditional farming and is emerging as a land of immense opportunities in agri-tech and food processing. He invited investors, agri-tech startups and industry experts to invest in the state, highlighting the vast potential in agriculture-based industries.
The Chief Minister was addressing an Investors Meet organised in Hyderabad under the banner of Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet 2026. Extending the traditional invitation of “Padharo Mhare Des,” he urged investors to become partners in Rajasthan’s development journey through GRAM-2026.
He said Rajasthan’s agricultural diversity offers huge opportunities for food processing industries, cold chain infrastructure, spice parks and value-added agricultural products. The state government is working towards transforming Rajasthan into a global hub for agriculture-based industries and food processing.
Sharma described Hyderabad as one of India’s leading IT and agri-innovation hubs and said the city’s ecosystem of agri-startups, drone technology, precision farming and food processing was giving a new direction to the future of Indian agriculture. He added that Hyderabad’s “Lab to Land” model was inspirational for Rajasthan and that the state government wanted to strengthen such initiatives further.
The Chief Minister also praised the contribution of Rajasthan-origin entrepreneurs settled in Hyderabad, saying the Marwari community had enriched the city’s economy and culture through hard work, business acumen and social commitment.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sharma said the Rajasthan government would organise the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-GRAM 2026 in Jaipur from May 23 to 25. Farmers, academicians, policymakers and agriculture companies from across the country are expected to participate and discuss new approaches to agriculture and food processing.
Highlighting the importance of water and energy for agricultural growth, Sharma said the state government had prepared a comprehensive roadmap for both sectors. He mentioned projects such as the Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, strengthening of the Indira Gandhi Canal and Gang Canal systems, and expansion of the Dewas Project to improve irrigation and drinking water supply.
He also said the government aims to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector. Under the target of providing daytime electricity to farmers by 2027, power supply during the day has already started in 24 districts.
The Chief Minister said the state had installed over 65,000 solar pump units with subsidies exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, reducing electricity costs for farmers and increasing agricultural productivity.
He further stated that apart from the Rs 6,000 assistance provided under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the Rajasthan government had added Rs 3,000 more, increasing the total annual support for farmers to Rs 9,000.
During the Investors Meet, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth more than Rs 200 crore were exchanged for the development of food parks, seed processing and food processing projects in different parts of Rajasthan.
The event also featured one-to-one business meetings and interactions with investors, industry leaders and agri-tech experts. Senior ministers, government officials, startup founders and representatives from the agriculture sector attended the programme.
