Chief Minister Hemant Soren Attends Launch Ceremony of “The Guardian Chronicle”, Extends Best Wishes

Ranchi, Jharkhand, May 2026 : Chief Minister Hemant Soren today participated as the chief guest in the grand launch ceremony of “The Guardian Chronicle” newspaper, held at Hotel BNR Chanakya in Ranchi. On this occasion, he formally launched the publication and extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all members associated with the organisation, including the editorial team and management.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that newspapers play a powerful role in spreading awareness in society, building dialogue, and bringing positive change. He emphasized that journalism plays a crucial role in strengthening democracy, as it acts as a bridge between the people and the government by bringing public voices to the administration.

He appreciated the efforts of The Guardian Chronicle and said that the newspaper would establish its distinct identity in the field of journalism with fresh energy and perspective. He expressed confidence that the publication would earn public trust by prioritizing impartial, fact-based, and public-interest reporting, and by highlighting issues affecting different sections of society.

The Chief Minister further said that in today’s era, the responsibility of media has increased significantly. He stressed that journalism must be conducted with strong values, ethics, and truthfulness so that society receives the right direction. He added that The Guardian Chronicle can play a constructive role in this direction and set a positive example in the media landscape.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Chief Editor of The Guardian Chronicle Ambarish Srivastava, local editor Sonali Das, former IGNOU Vice Chancellor Professor Ravindra Kumar, along with prominent personalities from various fields, media representatives, and invited guests.
