Raipur, May 2026 : Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister and Bhattgaon MLA Lakshmi Rajwade has been actively working to ensure quick resolution of public issues and problems faced by local traders. Acting on her instructions, a long-pending issue of shifting a transformer at the Silfili vegetable market has now been permanently resolved, bringing significant relief to traders and residents of the area.

It is noteworthy that on May 10, Minister Lakshmi Rajwade conducted a surprise inspection of the Silfili vegetable market. During the visit, local residents and shopkeepers brought to her attention the improper placement of a transformer, difficulties in movement, and issues related to the functioning of public toilets. Taking immediate cognizance of the problems on the spot, the minister directed the concerned departments to take swift action.

The transformer at the Silfili vegetable market had been installed at a location for a long time where it caused inconvenience to traders, customers, and pedestrians, along with posing safety risks. Following the minister’s instructions, the electricity department team promptly shifted the transformer to a safer and more suitable location. This has made movement within the market smoother and safer, while also improving conditions for business activities.

In addition, on the initiative of Minister Rajwade, the public toilet facility in the market area has also been made operational and properly managed. This has provided traders, women, and citizens with clean and convenient basic amenities.
