Ajmer Emerging as IT and Industrial Hub; 22 Applications Received for IT Park Plots

Jaipur, May 2026: Ajmer is rapidly emerging as an IT and industrial hub, with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) receiving 22 applications from companies for plots in the upcoming IT Park. Roads within the park have already been completed, and electricity and water facilities are expected to be provided soon. One company has already begun operations, while the park is also set to develop into an industrial hub alongside IT growth.

RIICO has also sought 114 hectares of land in Chachiyawas for the development of an industrial area, which is planned to be developed on the lines of Bhiwadi.

Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani shared this information after inspecting the IT Park on Thursday. He said that the IT Park will open new avenues for employment, industrial growth, and the digital sector in Ajmer. He stressed that development works must be completed on a top priority basis.

During the inspection, Devnani reviewed progress on road construction, land levelling, boundary wall construction, demarcation, power lines, and basic infrastructure. He directed RIICO officials to complete levelling and road construction at the earliest so that electricity and water supply works can begin on time. He also instructed the development of rainwater harvesting structures and high-quality internal roads within the park.

The Speaker further said that the IT Park will promote a plug-and-play model, enabling multiple IT units to operate in multi-storey buildings. The boundary wall will help define the park’s layout and identity clearly. He also emphasised that all essential infrastructure such as road networks, drainage systems, electricity lines, and street lighting must be developed within the stipulated timeframe.

He directed officials to make the park more attractive to IT companies by developing modern amenities such as gardens, parking facilities, and shopping complexes. He also instructed immediate coordination with network companies to ensure Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) connectivity requirements are met.

RIICO officials informed the Speaker that the IT Park spans a total area of 27.55 acres. Out of this, 45,310 square metres of land will be allotted for industrial and commercial use. A financial sanction of ₹23.65 crore has been issued for the development of the IT Park, covering land compensation, levelling, civil works, survey and demarcation, road construction, electrical works, street lighting, and rainwater harvesting systems.

Officials also highlighted that the location of the IT Park is strategically advantageous, situated just 1 km from the national highway, close to the Ajmer city centre, 13 km from the international pilgrimage site Pushkar, and only 20 km from Kishangarh Airport.
